Hello, I’m Lynne
author | counselor | writer
I have a counseling practice in North Carolina. My husband and I worked as church planters outside Paris and have served in member care for World Team since 1997. Through transitions and trials in family and ministry, healthy issues and the death of my son, I find worship is my greatest passion. I enjoy writing devotions and authored a book entitled: Unfolding: Recovering Your Identity After Sexual Intrusion. I have two adult children and five grands.

“Conversational, Engaging, and Empowering.”
Unfolding provides an intimate look into the pervasive and destructive impact of sexual intrusion. It doesn’t leave us there. It beautifully demonstrates how the God of all comfort led Head and others on their journey of healing. Throughout the telling of her story Head provides thought provoking questions and exercises to equip her reader to face, rather than escape from, the hard work of processing her own woundedness. She provides compelling reasons for why the journey is worthwhile and the hope and freedom that await on the other side. I highly recommend this book and, as a counselor myself, I have recommended it to many of my clients.

“Lynne Head has given a gift to those who suffer from the effects of sexual abuse/intrusion as well as those who minister to them.”
Licensed clinical mental health counselor and former global worker, Lynne Head, has given a gift to those who suffer from the effects of sexual abuse/intrusion as well as those who minister to them. This book is part memoir and part instruction manual for any who desire to be free of shame, ptsd, anxiety, anger, confusion around men, and any other lingering effects of sexual intrusion. Head states “Although we will draw from various therapies, the most essential source of healing from sexual abuse is not rooted in technique, but in finding your identity in a relationship with Jesus.” This book can be the manual that accompanies your counseling or one that you work through on your own. Any pastoral staff, member care providers, counselors, or those who mentor others can confidently pass this book along to those they minister to. I’m sure I will.
